Penn Connected Health supports each clinical division in setting and reaching individual virtual visit goals based on clinical appropriateness, access and growth targets, quality of care, and the reimbursement landscape.

Pre-pandemic, there were 300-500 virtual visits performed across the enterprise. At the height of the pandemic, this volume rose to 8,500 virtual visits per day. Penn Medicine has now reached a steady state telehealth volume, and over 9,000 clinicians are registered to complete virtual visits.
